
The 2008 race season marks the 58th year of competition at the .363 mile bullring. The Hickory Motor Speedway is the oldest professional sporting venue in Catawba County. Hickory Motor Speedway also stands as the oldest continually operated motor speedway in the country.
Known as the “Birthplace of the NASCAR Stars” and “The World's Most Famous Short-Track,” Hickory Motor Speedway stands alone with a long list of history and tradition.
Hickory Motor Speedway has three fully equipped concession stands, a souvenir stand, six large restroom areas, and three enclosed air-conditioned hospitality suites. Hickory Motor Speedway also contains a game room and kids' fenced-in play area with a climbing gym & swings.
